Lil Wayne Allegedly Taking ‘Break’ From Rap Game

As originally reported by MTV, Young Money rapper Lil Wayne is stepping away from his role as a cough syrup-drinking mindless rapper to focus on other less “boring” pursuits.

“It’s kinda putting rap on the back burner, that’s all. Rap’s taking a backseat to skating, that’s all,” Wayne stated on the Atlanta-based radio station Hot 107.9.

“I kinda feel like I deserve that, I feel like the fans deserve a little No Wayne (editorial edit: no kidding…),” Wayne continued. “
I’ve been out on everybody’s song, I’m still on everybody’s song. My artists are doing awesome; I believe the fans deserve some peace from me, so I’ll be on my skateboard in the meantime.”

So Lil Wayne is going to be a professional skateboarder now… Meaning the streets will be as polluted as the airwaves.
