Isis Announces Rarities Collection

ISIS

Groundbreaking ambient metal band Isis announced their breakup over two years ago following the release of their fantastic Wavering Radient. What followed was a split EP with the Melvins and a welcomed avalanche of live material. And with a loyal fan-base still remaining, the band and its longtime label Ipecac Records have announced Temporal, a “retrospective collection of unreleased rarities, remixes and videos,” due out November 6.

Drummer Aaron Harris said this about the project: “It was fun and also very nostalgic collecting material for this release. I hear our catalogue differently now that I’m not living with these songs day to day. This is a special collection of outtakes, demos, unreleased tracks and videos; some of which I think we even forgot about.”

In a relatively slow music year, this is terrific news for heavy metal fans looking to get their fill in the absence of Isis.
