Stone Gossard's BRAD drops 'United We Stand' April 24

brad band stone gossard pearl jam side project sf tour 2012

I caught Brad’s set at the 2010 Sasquatch Festival on the main stage, it was incredible, and yes some credit is due to the location but it definitely was memorable. I think besides the obvious Pearl Jam faithful, Wilco fans will definitely appreciate their music and should try to catch these small shows on the West Coast.

"After 20 years as a band, BRAD's brotherhood remains intact and vibrant. I couldn't be more excited about our latest opus," explains BRAD’s Stone Gossard. He continues, "A year and a half in the making, United We Stand (our fifth record) is our combined and loving collaboration. We hit all the stops, down beat grooves, soaring vocals, and riffs galore. We're in this bad boy for the long haul people. So get ready."

Vocalist Shawn Smith adds, "Thankfully, as a band, or more importantly as individuals, we have not lost our spark, our desire to do more than just 'get er done.' The new record is a testament to a band in its 20th year, a band that started with three friends getting together one afternoon to jam."

BRAD will tour in support of the new album this spring. Tickets go on sale tomorrow Friday, February 24th on the band's official website. Keep up with the band on their facebook and there are links for free downloads: https://www.facebook.com/bradcorporation

ThanX Stone and Best friends this the most incredible band ever ever..amazing music for xperienced audience ..

I was the 1st chair trombone pylear in the Snow College Jazz Band when I first met Brad. We became friends right away, and eventually roommates in off-campus housing. Brad had stacks of punk albums I had never seen or heard before, and this really helped expand my musical influences. The college needed a new drum set for the Jazz program so Brad, Wally (1st chair sax in jazz band), Doug (drummer in jazz band) and I decided to put together a concert to help raise money for the purchase. Brad quickly wrote 14 original songs, Wally belted out the lyrics, Doug kept the beat and I did my best playing “two-fingered” bass on the Rickenbacker that I obtained to play the show. We called ourselves Karma, and our one and only show was a huge success. When I think back on those days, I realize how important they were. That experience changed the direction of my life’s musical path, and I’ve enjoyed playing bass (and now a bit of guitar) and singing lead and backup vocals since that time. Thanks Brad, you have been a good life-long friend.Matthew
