New Fleet Foxes demo track released

Robin Pecknold today released via Soundcloud a new track that's a work in progress. The almost 6 minute long song definitely shows potential for the harmonization that has won our hearts over and over again. The lyrics seem like it's a sequel to "I Let You", and let's us peek past becoming the man on the screen and sharing cigarrettes to now being in different rooms with a lover that's soon to be gone.
"..if I only could be him, but I used all my chances.."

Even though Robin couldn't attend the Grammy's, he hasn't been slacking up in Portland, OR. Sonic Ambulance & friends caught Fleet Foxes six times last year, and will definitely catch their next tour as well. In the meantime I'm sure we'll keep hearing new tunes popping up, and we can keep on laughing from the genius that is Portlandia. Robin Pecknold comes on the short intro skit of last weeks episode with Joanna Newsom. (Episode also features one of my favorite brews that I found while visiting the PDX - Bridgeport's Kingpin)

... And now love these guys, too! Been listening to their self-titled album on raepet since opening my Amazon package on Friday. Such a rich, full sound - totally transporting, the kind of music that takes you to a very specific place.
